  • Evaluate Treatment Limitations: Critically assess at least two limitations of traditional eating disorder treatments for neurodivergent individuals and advocate for tailored approaches.

  • Apply Affirming Strategies: Implement at least two neurodivergent-affirming strategies to modify common eating disorder interventions for more individualized and effective care.

Kathy Spencer (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a passionate educator, dedicated to empowering fellow clinicians. With over 15 years of experience in eating disorder treatment across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings, Kathy brings a wealth of practical knowledge to her training.

Holding a Bachelor’s in Dietetics, a Master’s in Health Promotion, and a Master’s in Social Work, Kathy offers a comprehensive and compassionate approach to anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and body image distress. She is extensively trained in EMDR and IFS-informed approaches, integrating these modalities with her passion for Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size (HAES) principles.

Kathy is deeply committed to equipping other professionals with the confidence, skills, and resources needed to effectively treat eating disorders. Her goal is to foster a sense of accomplishment in therapists, helping them thrive and achieve truly positive outcomes for their clients. With over 15 years of dedicated experience in the field, including a decade in residential treatment where she served as a Clinical Director for seven years, Sydney brings profound leadership and practical expertise to her teaching.

Sydney is a Certified EMDR Therapist and IFS-informed, utilizing these and other modalities to deliver exceptional care. Her extensive background includes supervising and mentoring over 30 therapists, fueling her passion for empowering professionals. As co-owner of The Eating Disorder Consultants, she strives to equip clinicians with the knowledge and confidence to effectively treat complex cases, helping them foster thriving practices and achieve remarkable client outcomes.

Stacy Pray (she/her) is the driving force behind Pray Counseling and your dedicated host for this event. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, Stacy is deeply committed to supporting growth, change, and acceptance in individuals, families, and, notably, fellow clinicians.

As a proud Idaho native, Stacy's passion extends to ensuring that vital mental health information and impactful trainings are accessible right here in her home state. Her extensive background includes working with adolescents, families, and individuals navigating complex challenges such as substance use, trauma, depression, anxiety, and self-harm. This diverse experience has equipped her with a profound understanding of the human spirit and the complexities of mental health care.
